Sketch Visual Design Exercise

The main goal of this exercise was to copy the design from the image that was shown, trying to accomplish a perfect clone of the images.

Not 100% perfect clone but really really similar, don’t you think?

I enjoyed a lot doing this exercise. It is tough to clone something from “scratch”, you need to get all the elements that you believe are similar to the original ones and also you have to understand how you are going to do some shape or determine the margins and the radius, etc.

It was really fun, I had a good time design these 2 screens. I felt like I was playing a game, like Tetris or so (trying to aggregate the pieces correctly). I feel that I am more comfortable working with Sketch now. I was able to work with numerous tools and techniques that the platform provides, such as:

Probably is dumb to say that the most challenging thing while creating designs is that I was always messing up the things that were already perfect and in the right place…but I guess this is just newbie’s luck :P

But apart from that, I am really proud of my Visual Design Exercise. I believe I did a good job on this one! Let’s see what’s in the next episode?!
