6 Makeup Mistakes Beginners Make

Are you someone who have just started using makeup but is not satisfied with how it looks on your face ? Are you someone who likes makeup but is uncomfortable to wear it outside, because you think it doesn't look good on you ? If yes, then please read the entire article.

We all agree Makeup really enhances our beauty and makes us happy and confident about how we look and who doesn't want to look pretty right ? But oftenly we make few mistakes that doesn't only make us look like a clown but also takes away our confidence. It happens the most with beginners.

There are few common mistakes that we make as beginners that ruins our makeup. To get the flawless makeup look there are certain things that we must avoid. Let's take a look at them.

When you're starting out, you don't really know what is the right amount of product according to your face. It's because you learnt makeup by watching others do it and none of them really told you how much is too much. Even if they did tell you it still didn't work for you because everyone's face has different size and shape.

Applying the right amount of makeup is very much essential to avoid looking like a clown. Many a times we apply to much of the products that it ends up looking cakey. Be it your foundation, lipstick, eyebrow pencil or blush everything should be in the perfect amount to rock the makeup look.

You can easily know what is the right amount of product for your face by observing how much you are applying, for two to three times then you will get the fair idea of what amount does your face really requires.

There are many girls out there, who have never used makeup or just apply lipstick and kajal as makeup. For them its usually awkward and uncomfortable in the beginning to do a full face of makeup and go to their college or workplace or any event. Many a times they don't feel like themselves and are under confident with their makeup and eventually start hating it.

If you feel the same way, here is a wise advice for you. Don't use too many products in the beginning. For example if you are a College going girl who just uses a lipstick and kajal everyday start wearing foundation and a little bit of eyebrow pencil to shape your brows and you will be good to go.Once you get comfortable wearing these two include blush and eyeliner in your makeup routine and then eyeshadow, contour, highlighter and so on.

This technique will really save you from the awkwardness and will make you more confident in your makeup.

This is a very common mistake and we all have done this when we were starting out. As beginners we think preparing our skin for the base is not really needed, as we don't really see any difference but trust me the difference does show up.

Skin prepration before makeup is a very much essential step that we must not skip. If you skip this step it will lead to following :

* Makeup will harm your naked skin.

* Your makeup will look dull, cakey and won't sit on your face.

* Your makeup won't last even few hours and will start melting.

To avoid these, you should first wash your face with your preferred facewash and scrub if needed then moisturize with a good healthy moisturizer and then apply a tiny little amount of makeup primer all over your face and neck and massage it well to provide your makeup the perfect base.

We like to do things in the last minute only be it school assignment, office projects or exam preparation. But let's agree the results never turn out to be so good because of the last minute rush. The same goes with makeup as well.

No matter how good and professionally you do your makeup, it will not look good and subtle on your face if it is done in the last moments before the event. This is a very common mistake that beginners tend to make which makes their makeup look heavy and fake on their face.

Makeup needs time to sit on your skin. You give it some time to adjust onto your skin and it will look like you own skin without any imperfections. This is a rule that all the good makeup artist swearby.

So, always get ready at least an hour before the event and you will feel the most comfortable in your makeup.

If you are a beginner, it's very important to choose the right products. If you are using the wrong products there is no chance you makeup is going to make you look good. You will get thoughts like " makeup is not for my skin " or " i can't look good in makeup ". But you need to know it's not your skin's but your makeup products' fault.

Don't just copy your favourite makeup artist and buy all the products that they use. It's important for you to know you own skin type and go for products suited for that skin type. Be it your skin complexion, skin texture, skin type or undertone eveything should be considered when choosing products for yourself. Always consider your skin specifications and research well before buying makeup products.

Let's agree we all have done this and made ourselves sad. With time we realise and know the reality behind it but when we step into the makeup world as beginners we are too naive to understand the reality.

As a beginner, you need to know no matter how well you do your makeup or even get it done by a professional makeup artist, it will never look the same as those people you see online. It's because you are seeing them through screen. There is alot of things going behind that video. They use extra lighting and filters to hide the pores. some of them even blur out many imperfections to make it look flawless.

Remember, it's makeup and not your real skin, so it will always show up and will not look totally natural, don't get them fool yourself. You need to be okay with your makeup showing up then only you can wear it with confidence and look fab. Remember eventually what makes you the prettiest is your confidence.

These are some of the common mistakes that beginners make while doing their makeup. Avoid these the next time you do your makeup and we can guarantee, you will not consider yourself a beginner anymore. Also tell us which of these mistake you have done the most.
