Confidence Is Never Permanent

We often have this illusion that confident people are always like that. You see it in the way they handle themselves, the way they talk, the way they smile, how much people like them and want to be…

Why You Should Waste Time

Did you say ‘time’?

No. I said ‘did you see time’?
No.
May be you should.

A hectic day at work. A hectic weekend at home. A hectic day at work. Repeat. Rush hour traffic. Deadlines at work, home, school. Catch up with everything — friends, dinner meetings, sleep. Catch up.

Repeat. Month after month.

Catching up means you are left behind. Right. Who is Ahead? Time.

Last day -school admissions, card bills, home payments, tax papers. What’s running out? Time.

As tech proliferated, boundaries disappeared. Work (and now school) broke out of cubicles (and class rooms) and invaded homes, parks, trains, airports. How did you pay for it? In Time.

Tech eased life by a factor of X. You chose to multiply your ‘Things to Do’ by 100X. Digging into your wallet called Time.

The planet doesn’t care. Taking its 24 hour orbital ride: steady and unflinching. Fixed Route. For millennia. No catching up there.

Figure it out. Your own clock started the moment you were born. Some day it will run out anyway. Most of it you spent playing catch up.

Slow down. Pause. Get off the race. Take a deep breath. Delete your To Do list. Drop all targets, commitments, deadlines. Do Nothing.

Turn off your phone. Stay off social media. Rest. Meditate twenty minutes. Daily. Twice a day…

…Now you see it. The little plant outside your window. Fresher than ever. It’s flower has a beautiful golden yellow with pink stripes that no human can paint. The leaves are tender like the skin of a new born. The stalk is firm yet soft.

Step into the lawn. Barefoot. The gentle grass hugs your feet lovingly. A water bead nuzzles between your toes, refusing to drop off. A sweet natural scent of fresh morning air cuddles your senses. Two fresh dew drops land on your cheek as you look up. Pure. Sublime.

The first morning rays gently beam into the window — dancing between the blinds as if shaken by the wind. Gentle sense of energy infused with peace. Available for the asking. In plenty. Not the Lack.

No rush. No Catch up. Stay with your sense of being. Don’t be something. Anything. Dwell in the Moment.

Fix a coffee. Slow. Steady. Steaming into the cup. Watch the beautiful Sun gently rise up.

Step out for a walk. Just You. Not you, something. You.

Watch. Just you gives everything a new hue. No judgements. No comparison. No rating. It’s easy now. Because you are you. Not you, something.

Your race for identity is a mirage on the shifting sands of time. Drop the identity. Stay with you. Go deeper. Experience a joy. Abundance. Plenty. No lack.

Time can wait.
